THE VINTAGE BASE - Terms of use

The following terms apply to all information on THE VINTAGE BASE along with its affiliated companies (hereinafter "we", "us", "our", THE VINTAGE BASE) collected during any session of usage by you (hereinafter "your information", "your item information", "your item").
You are responsible for ensuring that "your information" complies with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.

I. General

A) "Your item" added to THE VINTAGE BASE may be administered only by the owner of the listed item - see section II for exceptions.

B) "Your item" added to THE VINTAGE BASE is public and viewable by every user, registered and unregistered.

C) You may not add terms for "your item" that conflict with our terms.

II. Content Administration

A) General description
"Your item information" must accurately reflect the listed item. THE VINTAGE BASE may remove, modify or require you to change "your item information" that fails to meet our requirements.
"Your item", "your item information" must
i. not consist solely of generic terms (e.g., "radio");
ii. use proper, grammatically correct capitalization;
iii. not include character symbols, such as excessive punctuation and trademark designations;
iv. not violate someone else rights;
v. not include superfluous descriptions;
vi. not contain third-party advertisement;
vii. not contain false, offensive, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive claims or content.

B) User safety and privacy
We work hard to help keep your account secure and protect your personal information. THE VINTAGE BASE is not asking for private information (e.g. authentic name or identity). For registering purpose, your email and your location (on country and/or region basis) is needed.
For privacy reasons, do not add private information in "your item information".
We may take action any time our terms and conditions are violated.
Every user has the possibility to report violations via the software.
Reporting something does not guarantee that it will be removed because it may not violate our policies.

III. Data collection

Your information is collected via two ways:

A) Firstly, by browsing THE VINTAGE BASE will cause the software to create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computers web browser temporary files.

B) The second way in which we collect your information is by what you submit to us. This can be, and is not limited to: registering on THE VINTAGE BASE (hereinafter "your account"), items added and messages sent by you after registration and whilst logged in (hereinafter "your items", "your information" and "your messages"). This can include information in or about the item data you provide, such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created.

IV. Usage of information

A) General
We conduct surveys and analyze "your information" we have in order to evaluate and improve our services, develop new products or features, and troubleshooting activities.

B) Communicate with you
We use "your information" to send you marketing information (you have the option to opt-in or opt-out within the software), communicate with you about our services and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

C) Show and measure ads and services
We use "your information" to improve our advertising systems so we can show you relevant ads.

D) Promote safety and security
We use "your information" to help verify accounts and activity, and to promote safety and security on and off of our services, such as by investigating suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies.
We use cookies and similar technologies to provide and support our services and each of the uses outlined and described in this section of our policy.
We do not share information that personally identifies you with advertising partners. We may provide these partners with information about the reach and effectiveness of their advertising without providing information that personally identifies you.

E) Time length of storage
We store data for as long as it is necessary to provide products and services to you and others, including those described above. Information associated with your account will be kept until your account is deleted, unless we no longer need the data to provide products and services.
You can delete your account any time. When you delete your account, we delete things "your information", such as your added item images and status updates.

F) Legal requests
We may access, preserve and share "your information" in response to a legal request (like a search warrant, or court order) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of Europe where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards. We may also access, preserve and share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud and other illegal activity; to protect ourselves, you and others, including as part of investigations; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, we may provide information to third-party partners about the reliability of your account to prevent fraud and abuse on and off of our services. We also may retain information from accounts disabled for violations of our terms for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other violations of our terms.
